Dimensions – The Kragghoon

She woke up in a sort of house. There was no light whatsoever so she waited for her eyes to adjust to the dark. Her father was not there… or she couldn’t see him. She could hear a conversation somewhere close but couldn’t see anybody…

“Keiko, are you awake?” Taro asked. “Where are you? I can’t see you.” Slowly, she could see a shadow getting closer and closer, until Taro was standing in front of her. “Come with me, I’ll introduce you to my friends.” She stood up and started walking but it felt as if the ground was made of cotton or some soft material. Were they flying? It felt as if they were moving inside clouds, finally she saw some people seating on the ground, talking. They looked like human beings but different. “Are they humans?” she asked her father, and the people laughed. “Yes, Keiko, they are humans but with some altered features. For example, they run a lot faster and see a lot better that we do, due to biological adjustments to their environment.” He explained also that the group that was helping them, called the Kraghoon, lived in higher plains always surrounded by clouds. These clouds were not like the ones in their world, the composition was different. They also knew about the war going on, but preferred to not get involved. Until then. The war between the people that followed ShanRo, the warriors of Elemka, and the Trikktug was getting worse. The Trikktug were conquerors and they would not stop until they could conquer them as they had already done with other worlds.

“Wait one moment, these people live in many different worlds, as in planets?” interrupted Keiko. “Yes, in this dimension space travel is a lot easier and the planets are not as far apart as in ours. So, we need to make sure nobody crosses the dimensions. ShanRo does not realize what he’s doing. Even if we went back and tried to prepare, we are at great risk.”

“We could just destroy the device and the problem is solved, right?”

“It is not that simple, they have been developing a similar device. Akgon tells me that they have had some success but are still not at the point of crossing. They will try to find us; we have to hide.”
