Taro Infiltrates the Elemka’s Head Quarters

Ok. So back in Terra 2, Taro and Akgon were waiting outside the Elemka’s HQ it was now getting dark and a dense fog was forming all around the city. It was the time to act. The plan was quite simple: Akgon’s warriors were to infiltrate the building and locate the device and then Taro would make sure they destroyed all the research that ShanRo and his scientists might have done on it by blowing up the lab. It was dangerous and they had to get in and out without being noticed. Akgon had the cards that Mork provided them to disguise his men and override the security at the entrance. Since the building was intelligent, there were almost no guards. AI was a lot more advanced in this dimension than back at Terra 1. Taro would pretend to be the prisoner and they would go in as Elemka’s soldiers. Still, many things could go wrong and that’s why the Jitsa would be waiting to help them in disguise also, so the Elemka wouldn’t suspect of their involvement. They needed to keep up the pact with the Elemka to fight the Trikktug and defend their planet.

Silently, they approached the entrance and went in. Just by showing the fake passes they were able to go down to the labs following the maps from Mork. All was going well but it was too easy…Taro knew that ShanRo was expecting them, but where was him?

After walking for a couple more minutes through doors and security, they arrived in front of the Lab EK-4009 where the device was supposed to be. One of the soldiers tried to open the door, a bright light blinded them and a loud hissing sound let them know the doors were actually opening: way too easy again. Taro opened his eyes covering them with his hand, ShanRo was standing next to a table with a funny helmet on his head and a heated discussion was suddenly interrupted by their appearance. The longest three seconds of his life went by as ShanRo turned to look at the arriving party… they were not expecting them after all! Someone started shooting, Taro couldn’t tell if it was them or the people in the lab, but he immediately took cover behind a table next to the doors.

“Well, well, if it isn’t my friend Dr. Inenko. I knew I didn’t need to look for you because you would find me…”

“ShanRo, you have to stop this nonsense!”

“I imagine you don’t have your machine with you, do you? Mmmm maybe you’re here for mine. We were just discussing if we were going to use it or not. These people are not like you Taro, they do not believe. But I know better and now that you’re here, we will share the experience like old pals.”

“ShanRo, you have to stop please!”

Someone started shooting again and ShanRo fell, or ducked. The Jitsa soldiers had come in and spread through the lab without Taro noticing. The shooting was raving and Taro didn’t dare move. “Do you see the device?” Akgon was ducking behind a cabinet next to him. “Yes, it’s on the table right next to ShanRo,” shouted Taro. “Ok, we have to get it so you can go back to Terra 1.”

Akgon floated almost imperceptibly to the table and the device appeared next to Taro. “You won’t be able to use it, my friend,” yelled ShanRo with a trembling voice weakened by the pain. “This one has MY DNA!”

Akgon looked at Taro, who was about to shout something but stopped just as he was looking at his hand covered in blood. “You are amazing, Akgon,” said Taro in a whisper. “You have to destroy it as soon as you make the jump, old man, our future depends on it!” “I’m not leaving you here, you’ll die…” “This war is not your concern, not anymore.”

Taro tried to complain and fight the decision being made for him, but Akgon wasn’t listening to him anymore, he was fighting. In a few minutes he would be back in Terra 1 and would be reunited with his daughter and all this nightmare will be behind them.
