The night was silent and no one seemed to be in the streets at that time. Taro, Akgon and the Kraghoon warriors had been waiting in hiding to approach the Elemka’s HQ. While they were still waiting for the dark to set and make their move, Akgon received a coded message from a friend working with the Jitsa Moon High Command asking him to bring the visitor to meet with them in a secret location, not far.
“I don’t know, it seems quite convenient that they contact us just before we strike. How can they know?” inquired a suspicious Taro. “I don’t think they know… I told Mork that you were here, but I never discussed our plans. Maybe they want to offer some deal, remember they don’t want to open the dimensions…” replied his friend.
“Yes, yes… it’s just that the timing is very suspicious. I guess old age has made me a skeptic in general,” Taro added with a half-smile. “What do you want me to answer, my friend? We still have some time to kill. We could meet them and then still carry on our plan.” “You’re right, we can see what they want and decide after. But, leave your warriors posted and alert, just in case this is some kind of trap.”
Akgon gave the orders to his second in command and they headed to the rendez-vous point.
Akgon and Taro were waiting, hiding, trying to figure out if the meeting was a trap or not. The street was deserted. Covered in brown robes, five men went into a bar. One by one they stood at the door before crossing a force field. “It’s there, said Akgon. They just arrived.” “I still don’t like this… but I trust you old friend. Let’s go!” ordered Taro anyway.
The room was dark and they had to wait by the entrance for some minutes. At last, Mork walked up to them. “Akgon, I have a message from the Premier. We know who he is and we know that you are trying to destroy the dimension’s machine. We want to help. Of course, we can’t really take action against the Elemka, as you can imagine, but we have something that will help if you accept our help.” “What are you offering? And how much do you expect in return?” “Don’t get defensive, Dr. Inenko…” responded the Jitsa messenger. “I’m Taro, my father was Dr. Inenko,” said Taro in a harsh voice. “We want to prevent the Elemka and the Coalition to develop the key to the Dimensions. We have enough troubles as it is without adding other dimensions and powers into the equation. We know that you are trying to prevent the same thing, we want to offer our technology to help. We have these badges that will help you get into the building and some other gadgets to let you disguise as a Trikktug.”
