All his life he wanted to be noticed, be famous. But just when he was about to make one of the discoveries that would change the world, the war took it all from him. Or maybe he should say… the Coalition.

His family had been powerful and wealthy for generations. They had always been privileged. He became one of the youngest and brightest scientists because he was sent to the best schools and had always been supported by his family. He wanted to give the same opportunities to his kids and take them to all sorts of places so they could learn and enjoy the world the same way he had. Maybe if he hadn’t been so lucky and if he hadn’t had it all at his arm’s reach, nothing would have happened… but then again, it had happened.

His machine was all they wanted and he would not let the Coalition have it. For the first time, not only he had been able to prove the existence of alternate dimensions, but he found the way to open portals between them. The implications were unimaginable, but in the wrong hands it would be a disaster!

When everything changed, he knew he had to prepare his son, Taro, to know at least what the weapon was for and how to use it. He made sure that it would only be used with one DNA signature so his son –and his kids after– will be the only ones that would be able to make it work.
