After Keiko presented the situation to the Inner Circle, a loud buzz could be heard. – So now we wait, said Anton. “Yeah… about that, I don’t think we have time for waiting too long, my father is right now trying to infiltrate the Elemka’s HQ and if they are found, we won’t have time to get to him and bring him back.”
“Keiko, I don’t think your father was planning on coming back…”
“How can you say that??!” Lei interjected. “She is trying to bring him back AND save both worlds.”
Anton turned on his heels and headed back to the main room. The heavy door closed behind him. While Keiko and Lei were waiting for a decision, the girl had a feeling that something was wrong… After the longest wait (maybe 15 minutes) Keiko saw Anton come out. The man looked at her and announced:
“We will help you and your father. But in exchange, we want to own the secret to the dimensions, you have to provide us with the plans to create another device and the DMN70.”
Keiko was livid, didn’t they understand a word she had said about destroying all traces of the device and closing the dimensions forever. She was a clever girl and saw an opportunity to get her father back while she would still destroy the annoying device.
“Sure, the problem is that my father never told me where he had the plans and he sent me here without the device… so, as you can see, we have to bring him back for sure and then, he will, maybe, tell you where to find the device and the plans.”
Anton didn’t explain to her that they would have to torture the information out of her, if Taro didn’t make it back and that as they were speaking the Dark forces (a sort of unofficial police working for the Inner Circle) was breaking into Taro’s house and searching for anything that would tell them more about the dimensions and how to open them.
Keiko feeling things were going her way, even if she didn’t trust Anton, was willing to cooperate to save her father and bring him back. So, she promised to convince her father into giving the plans as soon as he would be back. The next step was to get back to the other dimension and get her dad, then they will see what to do with Anton and his Inner Circle.
